A central challenge for most companies is to improve coordination and cooperation of workers and departments. One way to do so is to dismantle the artificial walls of misperception that often exist between them. Specialization of labour, while efficient, has a dark side when departments too often develop a sense of "local interest" and view right and wrong from a narrow perspective.

This inability to understand each other often produces tremendous conflict, poor performance, and significant unhappiness in the workplace. Today's business model requires that we work together as productive teams, but our prejudices and fears often get in the way. We find ourselves unable to look beyond our differences to see that we are actually more alike than we thought, AND, equally important, that in our differences we help complete each other.

But while it is occasionally acceptable to talk about profoundly significant topics such as diversity and spirituality in community groups or religious settings, this is not usually the case in business. These are "taboo" subjects, rarely appropriate for water cooler conversation or the boardroom.

Using the context of world spiritual traditions, this Exploring Our Connections program serves to catalyze a shift in the perceptions and attitudes of your colleagues-the first step toward positive behaviour change. They will see with clearer eyes and appreciate with softer hearts our essential commonality…and how in our differences we actually "complete" each other, thereby becoming One. In a unique way, the movie can foster culture change and fulfill your desire to transform a fractured organization into a single team.

Program Goals

The goal of this program is to increase cooperation and improve productivity by opening employees' minds to the concept of "Oneness," exploring what they have in common beneath apparent differences and coming to appreciate the beauty of those differences. Participants will feel an increase in respect, trust, and cooperation which will help them interact more effectively…

o within intact work teams
o between teams and across departmental "silos"
o with business partners, suppliers, and customers
o and even with their families and communities

Program Description

It is designed to encourage understanding and appreciation of all people across the company, so any group can potentially reap the benefits.

Combining a screening of the film with a facilitated dialog afterward, this two-hour program sparks intimate discussion and introspection as participants explore what it means to be "ONE." Such exchanges open hearts and minds, and, if encouraged and nurtured, can help bring positive results to both the bottom line and the corporate culture. Exploring Our Connections is appropriate for any type of group:

" An intact working unit, such as a project team or a specific department, or
" Any diverse group of employees, regardless of function or level.

Ultimately, our hope is that ONE will foster the kind of awareness, respect, and compassion that inevitably leads to higher levels of productivity, satisfaction, and meaning in our work lives.

ONE The Movie has become ONE The Program. A journey of many people, paths, and projects, towards a better understanding of ourselves, our connections with each other, and our ultimate meaning and destiny. Please join us.

The film's concept is simple: ask the ultimate questions of life to the great masters and to everyday people. And then let the dialog flow. The result is a movie that has sparked dialogue on six continents and in hundred of venues - from barns to prisons to universities to theatres. ONE reminds us that we are all on a journey to better understand ourselves, our connections with others, and our ultimate meaning and destiny.
